Privacy

The Coachella Valley HOA Presidents Council recognizes that privacy is important to you. This is our policy regarding the collection and use of personal information.

Information we collect

Information you provide when you register

When you register as a user of this site, we ask for information to identify you: name, email address, and phone number (which is optional). You also create a username and password of your choice.

We also ask about your HOA affiliation: the city you live in, the name of the HOA, and your role there.

Log information collected automatically

Whenever you access the site, the webserver automatically records the requests that it processes: the page you are requesting along with date and time and other technical information about the request.

The webserver also records the information that your browser sends with the request, such as: the type of browser and language, the IP address making the request, and if you were referred from some other site by a link or search engine.

If you log in at the site, your username is also recorded, but is not associated with specific requests.

How we use the information

The registration system uses your email address to confirm that you are successfully registered and to send you your password if you forget it.

The officers of the HOA Presidents Council may from time to time use email addresses to send messages or notices of general interest. They may also use the information about HOA affiliation to understand the HOA community and plan outreach programs.

The webmaster uses summarized information from the logs to analyze use of the site. The raw (unsummarized) log files are only examined to investigate fraudulent or malicious activity involving the site.

How we share your information

We do not share your personal information.

The HOA Presidents Council will not release the names, email addresses, or HOA affiliations of registered users of this website to any individual, business, or agency.
