HOA Presidents Council

Mission

• The Palm Springs HOA Presidents Council and those in other desert cities will create forums to exchange ideas and to inform and educate.
• We will deal with the crucial issues which confront elected leaders of Palm Springs Homeowner Associations (HOAs).
• We will share trustworthy resources and seek to eliminate any whose competitive practices and pricing preclude them from being viable referrals.
• We will provide guidance and advice on HOA management within the guidelines of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs), Association By-Laws and the Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act, and will bring in those with expertise in critical areas to lead our forums.

History

This 'grass roots' organization was created as a result of the investigation, arrest and sentencing of a local property manager, who was guilty of embezzling more than $350,000 over the course of 4 years from eleven Palm Springs Homeowner Associations.

The first meeting was held on June 5, 2007.
